Dmytro REDCHUK
Dmytro dreamed of military service since childhood but chose a career as a railway worker. He worked as an electromechanic in the 2nd group of the Kovel signaling and communication division. In 2015, Dmytro participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).
When the full-scale war began, he voluntarily went to the recruitment office. He served in the communications platoon of the 118th separate mechanized brigade.
His wife, Tetiana, recalls that he was "the best husband and father, a patriot of his country," kind, sincere, and always ready to help, dreaming of a bright future for his family and country.
35-year-old Senior Soldier Dmytro Redchuk was killed on July 10, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Pyatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region, falling under enemy mortar fire. The injuries proved fatal.
Dmytro died a Hero—before his death, he managed to save the lives of several of his comrades by calling for help for their evacuation despite his severe injuries. In the memory of all who knew him, he will remain open, kind, just, and always smiling.
Memorial plaques in honor of Dmytro have been installed on a building in Horokhiv and at the lyceum in the neighboring village of Zviniache.
At home, his mother, wife, and son awaited his return in vain.
The team of the Kovel signaling and communication division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its head in proud remembrance of Dmytro Redchuk. Glory and honor to the Hero-Savior!
