Ihor Maksyuta

Igor was born in the city of Trostianets in the Sumy region. He obtained a carpenter's qualification at the local vocational school, SPТU-25. In 2013, he began working in the railway sector, where he was a qualified and responsible employee. Colleagues knew Igor as a modest, reserved, and balanced man who had organizational skills and was respected in the team.

On February 14, 2023, Igor voluntarily took up arms to defend his homeland. After training, he was appointed commander of the reconnaissance platoon.

33-year-old soldier Igor Maksyuta, commander of the 3rd section of the reconnaissance platoon, was killed on October 15, 2023, in the area of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.

Igor is survived by his mother (who also works in the railway sector), his partner, and a small son who was only 4 years old at the time of his father's death.
