Ilya lived in the city of Chernivtsi. He worked as a train assembler on the railway. Colleagues remember him as polite, responsible, and diligent. Ilya was cheerful and always knew how to connect with the team, which is why he was greatly loved and respected.

In August 2023, Ilya Meleshchuk was mobilized and became a sailor in the marine infantry. As part of his unit, he bravely fought the enemy and rescued wounded comrades in the Kherson region.

29-year-old sailor Ilya Meleshchuk, a shooter-paramedic in the marine infantry, was killed on November 20, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Krynky in the Kherson region.

Ilya is survived by his mother.
