Ivan Plavshuda
Ivan was born in the city of Pershotravensk in the Dnipropetrovsk region into a mining family. After eight years of working in the mines, in February 2022, he began working for the railway as a commercial agent at the Mykolaivka-Donetska station.
On March 2, 2023, Ivan was mobilized. He served in the legendary 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar." Despite lacking military experience, he was highly motivated and commanded a machine gun platoon. He sustained two concussions in battle but remained in service.
The 34-year-old junior sergeant Ivan Plavshuda, commander of the machine gun platoon, was killed on December 22, 2023, near the village of Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. He received the rank of junior sergeant just two days before his death.
His wife Oksana remembers Ivan as a calm, balanced, and very gentle person. He loved his family, spoiled his daughters, and enjoyed traveling with them. In his youth, he was passionate about football, basketball, and cars.
Ivan is survived by his wife Oksana and two daughters: Milana (13 years old) and Anna (8 years old).
