Kostyantyn KLOCHKO

Kostyantyn was born in the village of Bilovod on the Romny region. He held three engineering degrees, graduating from Sumy State University and the Kharkiv Academy of Railway Transport. He spent most of his life in Sumy.

In 2006, he joined the railway family as a track layer. He dedicated his entire working life to the railway, holding various positions in track management. Since 2013, he served as the head of the production unit "Sumy Protective Afforestation Distance" of the regional branch "Southern Railway." He devoted 15 years of his life to the railway.

A reserve junior lieutenant, he volunteered to go to the front from the first day of the war. Kostyantyn, along with other men, tried to stop a column of enemy vehicles near Nyzy in the Sumy region. He died there on March 1, 2022, on the battlefield, defending his family and his hometown of Sumy from the enemy.

Colleagues remember him as a reliable leader and a true professional. He worked diligently, earned the respect of his team, was always ready to help, and never feared work-related challenges. Incredibly humane, with a warm smile.

His wife Yuliya remembers him as a man who loved life deeply. He was a loving husband and father, protecting his family, raising his sons, and passing on his passion for the nature of his homeland. His passion was dogs. Kostyantyn was a member of the Ukrainian Hunting Dog Federation. He organized a kennel and professionally trained dogs, encouraging both of his sons to join him in this passion.

By the decision of the Sumy City Council session on April 26, 2023, Kostiantyn Mykolaiovych Klochkо was posthumously awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Sumy."

We express our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Kyrylo is survived by his wife Yuliya, two minor children, and his mother.
