Mykhailo BUBYR
Mykhailo Serhiyovych was born on September 29, 1998, in the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region.
He studied at Kremenchuk Secondary School No. 3. Later, he obtained a vocational education at Kremenchuk Pedagogical College named after A. S. Makarenko. He continued his studies at Kremenchuk National University named after Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi, where he earned a bachelor's degree in "Applied Mechanics."
Despite his technical education, Mykhailo dreamed of connecting his life with the railway from a young age. In March 2021, he began his career at the production unit "Kremenchuk Railway Distance" of the regional branch "Southern Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" as a 3rd category track fitter.
Colleagues remember Mykhailo as a calm, balanced, friendly, and incredibly responsible person. Despite his young age, he earned deep respect in the team for his teamwork, humanity, and willingness to always help others.
Mykhailo's journey as a defender began even before the full-scale invasion:
On October 4, 2021, he was called up for compulsory military service.
After completing his service, Mykhailo made a conscious, mature, and resolute decision—he signed a contract and continued to defend his homeland.
In the extremely challenging conditions of combat, he demonstrated exceptional courage, resilience, and was a reliable support for his comrades.
On November 4, 2024, during a complex combat mission in the area of the settlement of Novooleksiyivka in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region, communication with Mykhailo was lost. Family, friends, and comrades believed in a miracle until the end, but later received official confirmation: the warrior's heart stopped on the battlefield.
"Mykhailo was a sincere, bright person with a big and kind heart. He never remained indifferent to the pain of others. He knew how to support in difficult moments, lighten the tension with a well-timed joke, and always radiated calmness and confidence. He became an example of true human decency and inner dignity for many of us."
Mykhailo is survived by a loving mother.
The team of "Kremenchuk Railway Distance," friends, comrades, and fellow countrymen express their deepest condolences to the family. The bright memory of the brave railway worker and courageous warrior will live in our hearts forever.
Eternal memory and glory to the Hero! We bow our heads in mourning.
