Mykhailo Ivaniy

Mykhailo Ivanovych Ivaniy was born in the city of Smiila, Cherkasy region, where he graduated from secondary school No. 1. He obtained the profession of technician-electromechanic at the Vocational School "Smiila Technological Vocational College of the National University of Food Technologies."

He worked in the production unit of the signaling and communication service "Shevchenkivska Distance of Signaling and Communication" of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" as an electromechanic of the section. He had 24 years of experience in the railway industry.

On December 9, 2024, Mykhailo was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the Ukrainian Marine Corps, where he bravely defended his homeland and provided a worthy resistance to the occupiers. Mykhailo believed in the independence of our state and did everything in his power to bring Victory closer.

Mykhailo was killed on April 21, 2025, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in Donetsk region, as a result of an enemy drone strike.

According to colleagues' memories, Mykhailo embodied the qualities of a true man: kindness, sincerity, justice, and devotion. He always cared for the well-being of his loved ones, being a strong support for them and a true mentor to his children.

He is survived by his children, mother, and sister. We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.
