Mykola SHEVCHUK
Mykola Oleksandrovych was born in the village of Vylkhivtsi, Chemerivtsi District, Khmelnytskyi Oblast. In 2021, he was hired as a trackman of the 3rd category at the Khmelnytskyi track distance of the regional branch "South-Western Railway." He worked on the railway for 4 years.
On November 30, 2024, Mykola was called up for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended his homeland from the hated enemy, delivering devastating blows to the occupiers.
Mykola was killed on November 5, 2025, while protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the Donetsk region.
Colleagues remember him as a hardworking, disciplined, and responsible employee. "Mykola was a reliable, sincere, and decent person, always ready to help at any moment," says Alexander Bosak, a former foreman of the current maintenance and repair of tracks and artificial structures. "He approached his work diligently and completed it on time."
Outside of work, Mykola dedicated much time to his family. He built a beautiful house and maintained the surrounding area in exemplary condition.
Mykola is survived by his mother, wife, and two children.
