Oleg ZOLOTARENKO
Oleg Borysovych Zolotarenko was born on February 23, 1971, in the village of Vesele, Synelnykove District, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. He lived in the village of Vesele. In 1990, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Railway Transport Technical School, specializing in "Isothermal Rolling Stock and Refrigeration." Oleg worked as a locksmith-electrician, foreman, rolling stock safety instructor, and senior master. He served as a locksmith-electrician for the repair of electrical equipment at the 6th category of the electrical workshop of the "Nizhny Dniprovs'k Depot" production unit of the "UZ Vagon-Service" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He dedicated 14 years to the railways.
In March 2022, he was called up for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a soldier and a shooter-paramedic in the mechanized section of the mechanized platoon of the mechanized company.
On February 25, 2025, during combat operations near the settlement of Mala Loknya in the Kursk Oblast, Oleg sustained injuries incompatible with life, which caused his heart to stop.
Colleagues knew him as a responsible and sincere person. He had a strong and determined character, which earned him authority and respect among his peers.
Oleg is survived by his wife and two children. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
