Oleksandr BURKUN
Oleksandr was born on January 8, 1974, in the village of Kleneve in the Kharkiv region and lived in the village of Mykilske in the Poltava region. He held a complete higher education, having graduated from the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport.
He began his career in the railway sector in September 1995, working as a dispatcher at the Poltava-Southern railway station in the Poltava Directorate of Railway Transportation.
On October 27, 2022, Oleksandr was mobilized. He served as a rifleman and assistant grenade launcher in the Marine Corps. Colleagues and friends remember him as a sincere, loyal, and reliable companion.
50-year-old Oleksandr Burkun, a railway dispatcher, died on January 2, 2024, in the area of the settlement of Krynky in the Kherson region.
The defender was posthumously awarded the "For Courage" III class medal.
Oleksandr is survived by his wife, daughter, and son.
