Oleksandr MARTYNENKO
Oleksandr Martynenko was born in the village of Shcherbani, Voznesensk district, Mykolaiv region. In 2004, he joined the railway family, becoming a shooter in the militarized security service. He worked as a third-class shooter in team No. 4, responsible for the security of a particularly important facility of the "Znamyansk Militarized Security Detachment," a branch of the "Departmental Militarized Security" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He dedicated 20 years of his life to the railway.
On June 24, 2016, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner in the airborne platoon of the airborne company of the airborne battalion, delivering devastating strikes against the occupiers.
He died on March 23, 2025, bravely fulfilling his military duty, fighting for the freedom and independence of Ukraine near the settlement of Oleshky in the Sudzha district of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
Colleagues remember him as a reliable and enthusiastic friend, a disciplined and responsible worker, always ready to help, and the soul of the team. Outside of work, he was passionate about sports and attended a boxing section.
Oleksandr is survived by his wife and underage daughter. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
