Oleksandr MAYMULA
Oleksandr was born in Kharkiv. After graduating from the Kharkiv Railway Transport Technical School, he worked for several years at the Kharkiv Metro. He joined the Southern Railway in July 2017 as a mechanic for the repair of rolling stock in the current repairs section PR-1 and technical maintenance TO-3 at the motor car depot of the Southern Railway in Kharkiv.
On January 25, 2021, Oleksandr enlisted in military service under contract. He served as a gunner in the machine gun platoon.
44-year-old Senior Soldier Oleksandr Maymula was killed on March 6, 2022, during an enemy artillery shelling in the village of Novotroitske, Donetsk region.
Colleagues remember Oleksandr as a friendly and sociable person who was always ready to help.
Oleksandr is survived by his wife, Natalia.
With deep sorrow, the team of the motor car depot in Kharkiv, part of the Southern Railway regional branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," received the news of Oleksandr Maymula's death. He fulfilled his duty to the Motherland until the end, standing up to defend our land. Our railway family extends heartfelt condolences to his wife Natalia and the entire family. We will forever remember his courage and dedication.
