Oleksiy KUKOTA

Oleksiy Kukota was born and lived in the village of Birky, Kharkiv region.

In 2006, he graduated from the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport with a degree in "Railway Structures and Track Management," receiving the qualification of "Master Builder of Railway Transport." He worked on the railway for nearly 20 years. He was a foreman (dismissed) for the current maintenance and repair of tracks and artificial structures of the 6th category at the "Lozova Track Distance."

On February 24, 2022, Oleksiy volunteered to fight against the enemy. He served as the commander of the 1st rifle platoon of the 3rd rifle company of his military unit. He held the rank of junior lieutenant and was granted the status of "war veteran."

The 42-year-old soldier was killed on February 24, 2025, in the vicinity of the settlement of Yurchenkove, Kharkiv region, as a result of an attack by an enemy drone "Molniya."

To his colleagues, Oleksiy was remembered as a kind and decent person, always ready to help.

Oleksiy is survived by his parents, wife, and young son.
