Olena Mykhienko
Olena worked as a passenger car conductor at the Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station of "Ukrzaliznytsia."
53-year-old Olena Mykhienko was killed on March 9, 2022, during the shelling of the city of Chernihiv.
As the attacks by the occupiers intensified, Olena, along with other civilians, tried to leave Chernihiv, but their car was shot at by Russian soldiers at the city exit.
Her loved ones describe her as a compassionate and calm person, a hardworking and responsible employee.
Olena is survived by her husband Stanislav, son Serhiy, and two grandchildren.
The team at the passenger car division of the Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station of the regional branch "Southern-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" is deeply shocked by the tragic death of Olena Mykhienko. Her peaceful life, dedicated to her work on the railway, was brutally cut short during an attempt to evacuate from Chernihiv. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband, son, and grandchildren. The memory of our colleague will be eternal.
