Serhiy VLADYKO
Serhiy was born in the village of Dubove, Dnipropetrovsk region. He trained as a locksmith for the repair of rolling stock at the Synelnykove Vocational College. Since 2008, he worked as a wagon inspector and repairman at the Lower Dnipro Wagon Depot.
On March 8, 2022, Serhiy was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as an operator in the 1st anti-aircraft platoon of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar." His wife Hanna recalls that Serhiy was kind, caring, had golden hands, and was very hardworking and sociable. He called his family every day to ease their worries, admitting that he kept his fear under control to prevent panic in his unit. Serhiy dreamed of a new house.
32-year-old Serhiy Vladyko was killed on June 5, 2022, in Kharkiv region while carrying out a combat mission.
The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
Serhiy is survived by his wife and daughter Veronika.
The team at the Lower Dnipro Wagon Depot of the regional branch "Dniprovsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague. This responsible inspector-repairman with "golden hands" joined the Armed Forces at the beginning of the invasion and heroically fell. His composure in the face of danger, care for his family, and courage, confirmed by the Order, serve as an example to follow. Glory to the Hero!
