Taras MAKSYMCHUK
Taras was born in the village of Tsmyny in Volyn and grew up in a large family. He worked as a trackman of the 3rd category on the railway in the Sarny track division. He was remembered by his fellow villagers for his sociability, friendliness, and a strong sense of responsibility. Outside of work, Taras was engaged in agriculture.
In April 2023, without hesitation, he was mobilized into the ranks of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great, where he served in the Kharkiv direction.
48-year-old soldier Taras Maksymchuk, assistant grenade launcher, was killed on October 13, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Pershotravneve in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region as a result of a massive enemy shelling.
On November 4, on Railway Workers' Day, Taras Maksymchuk would have turned 49. For his displayed courage, he was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
Taras is survived by his wife and son.
