Valeriy KOLODCHENKO
Valeriy Kolodchenko was born in the city of Mykhailivka, Volgograd Oblast, USSR. He lived in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. For nearly 30 years, he worked on the railway. He was a driver at the Nikopol Motor Car Depot of the "Suburban Passenger Company" branch.
On July 20, 2024, Valeriy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a sniper in the 3rd mechanized section of the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 3rd mechanized company.
53-year-old senior soldier Valeriy Kolodchenko was killed on September 15, 2024, from gunshot wounds near the village of Fanaseevka in the Kursk region.
Colleagues remembered Valeriy as a decent and honest person, calm and balanced. He approached his work diligently, actively participated in the life of the team, and was respected and held in high regard by his colleagues. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and eagerly involved his friends and colleagues in it. He devoted much attention to his daughter Anna and looked forward to having grandchildren.
The deceased is survived by his daughter and brother.
