Vasyl LOHVIN
Vasyl Lohvyn was born on January 8, 1980, in the village of Lysanivka, Starosyniavskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region. In 2002, after graduating from the Dnipropetrovsk State Technical University of Railway Transport, he began his career as a safety engineer at the Chaplynske Experimental Workshop of the Dnipro Railway. Since November 2010, he worked at the Synelnykove Track Repair and Mechanical Plant, holding the position of head of the mechanical and auxiliary section of the production structural unit "Synelnykove Track Repair and Mechanical Plant" of the "Center for Repair and Operation of Track Machines" branch. He worked in the railway sector for nearly 20 years.
Vasyl joined the ranks of the Ukrainian army on March 5, 2022. He served his homeland with honor and dedication as the commander of the repair company of the repair and restoration battalion. He completed numerous important tasks for the defense of Ukraine. However, on November 16, 2025, the war took the life of our defender in his native Dnipropetrovsk region as a result of combat actions near the settlement of Tykhe in the Synelnykove district.
He died on November 16, 2025, near the settlement of Tykhe in the Synelnykove district as a result of combat actions while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Colleagues remember Vasyl as a sincere, bright person with a big heart, who knew how to support others with kind words, encourage them, and create a friendly atmosphere in the plant's team. His professionalism, humanity, and willingness to help will forever remain in the memory of everyone who had the honor of working alongside him.
