Vasyl SHUSHMAN

Vasyl was born in the village of Kvasy in the Zakarpattia region. He dedicated 30 years of his life to the railway, starting in 1992. He worked as a foreman for the maintenance and repair of tracks and artificial structures of the 5th category at the Odesa track maintenance unit. Colleagues remember him as a passionate, disciplined, and responsible worker.

On September 4, 2022, Vasyl joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Vasyl was killed on December 29, 2022, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission near the settlement of Ozyarivka in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region.

For his bravery and courage, he was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.

Vasyl is survived by three daughters, a wife, and a father.
