Vasyl SKRYPNYCHENKO

Vasyl was born in the village of Rozumivka in the Oleksandrivsk district. In 2008, he joined the railway, dedicating 14 years of his life to it. He worked as a 4th class shooter in the team of the militarized security unit at Dolynska station in the "Znamyansk Militarized Security Detachment."

From the first day of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, Vasyl joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a driver-paramedic. His military experience was significant: he received awards for "Defending Mariupol" and "For Combat Actions" (2016).

Vasyl Skrypnychenko was killed on September 3, 2022, after an artillery shelling and direct combat engagement with the enemy during offensive operations in the area of the settlements of Sukhy Stavok and Kostromka in the Berislav district of Kherson region.

Colleagues remember him as a dedicated, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor, always ready to help others.

Posthumously, he was awarded the 3rd class "Cross of Freedom."

Vasyl is survived by his wife, daughter, and son.
