Viktor PUSHKAR
Viktor Oleksandrovych Pushkar, a young trackman and brave UAV operator, gave his life for Ukraine on May 10, 2025. His last battle took place in the Serebryansk forestry in Luhansk region. Long months of uncertainty and prayers from his family ended with a painful official confirmation. Viktor was only 22 years old.
Viktor was born on June 17, 2002, in the village of Verba in Chernihiv region. His life was short but filled with dignity, honor, and a true love for his homeland.
Viktor joined the railway in 2021, immediately after completing his studies. In 3 years and 6 months of work in the Chernihiv track distance, he established himself as a reliable master.
Colleagues remember him as an extraordinarily sincere, kind, and cheerful person. He was a diligent worker who never shied away from hard work and always kept his word. He was valued for his honesty and the special humanity that united the team.
In August 2024, Viktor made a mature and responsible decision—he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Even in war, he remained a loving son. To avoid worrying his parents prematurely, Viktor revealed his service only when he was in Donetsk.
Soldier Viktor Pushkar defended the country as a UAV operator in the ranks of the 119th Separate Brigade.
For his courage and resilience, he was awarded the Presidential Award of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine" and a Letter of Gratitude from the Mayor of Chernihiv. His skill as a UAV operator saved the lives of his comrades and helped destroy the enemy.
Outside of war and work, Viktor remained a simple and bright person. He loved his parents dearly and rushed home to the village at any opportunity to help with household chores. For his father, Oleksandr Mykolaiovych, he will forever remain the best son and pride of the family.
We express our deepest condolences to Viktor's parents, brother, and all his loved ones.
The team of the Chernihiv track distance of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns together with the family. Viktor was one of the youngest in our family, but he turned out to be one of the strongest. His feat is the price of our freedom.
Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and Hero!
