Vitaliy Datskyi

Vitaliy was born in the village of Myrolyubivka, Kirovohrad region. He worked on the railway for over 25 years, holding the position of a fourth-class shooter in the military security team at the Znamyanka station. Colleagues remember him as a passionate, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor who enjoyed fishing.

Vitaliy was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather. His son Dmytro, following in his father's footsteps, has been heroically defending his homeland for nearly two years.

On May 26, 2023, Vitaliy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine under general mobilization, serving as a grenade launcher in the rifle unit. He bravely defended his homeland and gave a worthy resistance to the occupiers.

52-year-old Vitaliy Datskyi was killed on May 29, 2023, near the settlement of Hryhorivka in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. He sustained severe injuries from shelling that proved to be incompatible with life.

Vitaliy is survived by his wife, son Dmytro, and grandchildren.
