Volodymyr TRYHUBETS

The Shepetivka railway community and all of Ukraine have lost a young, talented specialist, a loving son, brother, and brave warrior, whose life was cut short in the prime of his strength. Volodymyr was only 25 years old.

Volodymyr Viktorovych was born on February 8, 2000, in the village of Sudylkiv, Shepetivka district, in the Khmelnytskyi region. Here he spent his childhood and received his primary education at the local school. Volodymyr grew up to be an exceptionally kind, polite, empathetic, and hardworking young man who valued true friendship above all, loved sports, and was always ready to help others.

After finishing 9th grade, he enrolled in the Shepetivka Vocational Lyceum, where he learned the profession of a welder. However, Volodymyr found his true calling on the railway, to which he dedicated five years of diligent work. He worked as a 3rd class trackman in the Shepetivka track division of the regional branch of "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." Even after completing his compulsory military service, Volodymyr consistently returned to his native team. His colleagues knew him as a responsible, conscientious, and reliable worker who was deeply respected and distinguished by his humanity and true managerial skills—he performed every task diligently and with quality.

On June 27, 2025, Volodymyr was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine during mobilization. Mastering modern military technologies, he served as a drone operator in a battalion of unmanned systems. Volodymyr had an exceptionally high motivation to defend his homeland, performed combat tasks exemplary, and quickly earned authority and respect among his comrades.

On January 27, 2026, the life of the young defender tragically and prematurely came to an end. Volodymyr was killed as a result of a treacherous enemy drone strike of the "Shahed" type on train No. 048 "Chop-Barvinkove," which was moving in the Kharkiv region between the stations of Havyrlivka and Yazykove. The identity of the soldier was established through DNA testing. Until his last breath, Volodymyr remained faithful to his military oath, defending the freedom, independence of Ukraine, and the peaceful future of each of us.

In civilian life, he was a reliable support for his family—a loving son and brother. His mother and brother, left without their dearest person, faced profound, indescribable grief.

Volodymyr Tryhubets will forever remain in our memory as a great patriot, a sincere lover of life, a man of honor and a bright soul.

The team of the Shepetivka track division of the regional branch of "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest condolences to the mother, brother, relatives, and close ones of the fallen Hero. We bow our heads in sorrow before the courage of our young colleague, the trackman. His feat for the sake of Ukraine's life will never be forgotten.
