Vyacheslav MAYDANOVICH
Vyacheslav was born in Berdyansk, Zaporizhia region, and lived in Mariupol, Donetsk region. He began his railway career in October 2018, working as a third-class shooter in the shooting team at the Mariupol station of the militarized security service.
As Pavel Kramarov says: "He was always a responsible worker, diligently fulfilling his duties, while also being an open, sincere, and simple person. It was calm and comfortable to work with him because I was confident that Slava would not let me down. It was also interesting to communicate with him, as he was well-rounded, had his own views, and we often discussed events in the country and the world. Slava was a patriot of Ukraine; since 2014, he condemned russia's hybrid aggression. He raised his children to be patriots as well; his daughter studied at university, and his son served in the ranks of the National Police of Ukraine and remained true to his oath after the onset of full-scale aggression. In March 2022, Vyacheslav and his family managed to escape the fire-engulfed Mariupol under shelling and reached Kropyvnytskyi, where he joined the team responsible for securing an important facility. After the start of the full-scale invasion, Vyacheslav evacuated from Mariupol to a safer location, where he temporarily worked at the Mazarove station. It was there that his life was tragically cut short during an enemy shelling."
Vyacheslav's life was tragically ended on July 23, 2022, during shelling in Dnipropetrovsk region.
Vyacheslav is survived by his wife.
The team of the militarized security service of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the loss of their colleague. His brief journey on the railway and his aspiration for a peaceful life were cynically destroyed by war. May the memory of our colleague live on.
