Yaroslav RUMAK

Yaroslav was born in the city of Znamyanka in the Kirovohrad region. He graduated from the Dnipro National University of Railway Transport with a degree in "Electrical Systems of Power Consumption." In 2013, he began working for the railway at the "Dolynska Electric Supply Division." Yaroslav continued the family tradition of railway workers, dedicating his entire conscious life to this profession.

Colleagues remember him as the kindest and most responsible employee, a bright ray of sunshine for the entire team, always smiling and filled with an incredible zest for life. He was a loving son and husband, and a year before his death, he became a father to a daughter.

On March 3, 2022, Yaroslav took up arms to defend our homeland as part of the 57th Brigade. His mother, Olha Rumak, noted that he fulfilled his duty with honor and dignity, was a patriot, and remained true to his people until his last breath.

31-year-old Yaroslav Rumak was killed on June 15, 2022, near the village of Novotoshkivske in the Luhansk region.

The team at the Dolynska Electric Supply Division of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague. His unwavering patriotism and zest for life, cut short by war, represent the greatest loss for his family and the railway. Glory to the Defender!
