Yuriy Hranukov

Yuriy Volodymyrovych was born on November 30, 1980, in the city of Fastiv. After finishing school, he received vocational education at Kyiv Vocational Technical School No. 18. He began his career at the Kyiv Plant of Reinforced Concrete Structures, where he quickly earned the respect of his colleagues due to his professionalism, responsibility, and sincerity.

For over a quarter of a century—25 years—Yuriy dedicated himself to working on the railway. In recent years, he worked as a 4th-grade rebar worker in the production structural unit "Kyiv Distance" of the branch "Center for Construction and Installation Works and Operation of Buildings and Structures" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia."

Colleagues remember him as an extraordinarily kind, cheerful, and reliable person. Yuriy was a true friend—good-hearted, forgiving, and always ready to help.

When his homeland faced the threat of destruction, Yuriy did not stand aside. On October 3, 2025, he was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He diligently and thoroughly underwent training, quickly mastering everything necessary, and later became a soldier of the airborne brigade, carrying out combat missions to defend Dnipropetrovsk region.

On December 19, 2025, faithful to his military oath and the Ukrainian people, Yuriy Hranukov bravely fulfilled his military duty. He died in battle for the freedom and independence of Ukraine while performing a combat task near the settlement of Ivanivka in the Mezhivka village community of the Synelnykove district in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The fallen hero is survived by his beloved wife.

The bright memory of Yuriy Volodymyrovych—a brave warrior, talented specialist, loyal friend, and compassionate person—will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew, respected, and loved him.
