Maksym Khodyachynskyi
Maksym was born in Kharkiv on September 18, 1990. In June 2009, he graduated from the Kharkiv Professional Electromechanical Lyceum, earning the profession of "Automobile Repair Mechanic, Manual Welding Electrician."
Since March 2012, Maksym joined the railway family and worked as a manual welding electrician at the "Motor Car Depot Kharkiv," a branch of the "Suburban Passenger Company" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," for 12 years.
Friends and colleagues respected and valued him as a skilled professional worker and a strong-willed person who did not shy away from difficulties and never bowed his head in the face of adversity. Colleagues remember him as a reliable friend, a diligent worker, and a true railwayman. He was the soul of the team, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Since May 2023, he was released from work to serve in the military during mobilization due to the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. While carrying out a combat mission as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Maksym demonstrated courage, bravery, and self-sacrifice. He dreamed of returning home to a peaceful life and going back to his native enterprise.
On April 20, 2024, during fierce battles near the settlement of Urozhayne in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region, Maksym heroically fell while defending the freedom and independence of his homeland.
Maksym is survived by his elderly parents.
The team at the Motor Car Depot Kharkiv deeply mourns the tragic loss of their colleague. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Maksym's parents.
