Mark Nikolaev

Mark was born in the city of Znamianka, Kirovohrad region. He graduated from Vocational Technical School No. 12 as a locksmith specializing in the repair of rolling stock. He dedicated five years of his life to the railway, working as an electrician repairing electrical equipment at the Znamianka Locomotive Depot.

He decided to join the defense of the state borders on August 23, 2022. The enemy invasion took the life of this young hero, who had his whole life ahead of him.

Mark Serhiyovych Nikolaev was killed on January 9, 2023, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the vicinity of the village of Soledar in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region.

Colleagues remember Mark as a responsible and diligent worker, a kind friend who was respected and valued for his professional and personal qualities. He was passionate about computer games and had plans for the future.
