Mykola Malyar
Mykola was born in the village of Hubnyk in the Vinnytsia region. He dedicated 25 years of his life to the railway, working as a 4th category trackman at the Khrystynivka track distance.
On the third day of the full-scale invasion, February 26, 2022, Mykola joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Mykola Mykolayovych Malyar was killed on December 24, 2022, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the Luhansk direction.
Colleagues remember him as a dedicated, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor, who was well-respected. Even during short vacations, he would meet with railway friends, inquire about work, and share frontline stories.
Mykola is survived by his wife and two children.
The team at the Khrystynivka track distance of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague with deep sorrow and respect. His dedication and unbreakable connection to the railway, even at the front, is an example of true patriotism. Eternal memory and honor!
