Oleksandr DUDNIK

Oleksandr was born at the Partizany station in the Henichesk district of the Kherson region. His life was closely tied to the railway, to which he dedicated over 33 years of his working career.

His journey in the "iron family" began on May 21, 1991, on the Rail Welding Train No. 13 of the Odesa Railway. Over 28 years, he worked as a grinder, achieving the 5th qualification grade. Colleagues remember him as an experienced, strong-willed, and exceptionally demanding specialist. Oleksandr had a high level of professional skill and was an undeniable authority in his field. In 2019, due to health reasons, he transferred to the position of a guard, where he continued to work diligently until the moment of mobilization.

When the enemy came to our land, Oleksandr took up the defense of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He served as a gunner in an airborne unit, enduring some of the fiercest battles—first near Serebryanka and later in Bilohorivka, in one of the most challenging sectors of the front.

The life of the Hero was cut short on the night of December 10, 2024, in the area of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. Oleksandr died while carrying out a combat mission, having gone out to evacuate wounded comrades. He gave his life to save others, remaining true to his military oath and human duty until the very end.

Oleksandr is survived by his wife and daughter. His parents are left without their beloved son. No words can ease the pain of this loss, but the memory of his heroism will live on forever.

The team of the Pervomaisk Rail Welding Train expresses its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our colleague. We bow our heads in honor of Oleksandr's courage and indomitable spirit. His self-sacrifice for the sake of others is an example of true dignity and heroism.
