Pavlo ALEKSEYEV
Pavlo Alekseev was born in the city of Fastiv in the Kyiv region. In 2000, he graduated from Kyiv Vocational Technical School No. 17, where he obtained the qualification of a locksmith for electric locomotive repairs, and later from the Kyiv Electromechanical College named after M. Ostrovsky.
Pavlo worked on the railway for almost 20 years: he was a train assembler of the 5th category in the locomotive operation section of Fastiv at the Fastiv-1 motor car depot of the regional branch "South-Western Railway."
On November 7, 2023, Pavlo took up arms to defend his homeland. He held the military rank of a rifleman-serviceman in the 4th airborne assault section of the 2nd airborne assault platoon of the 9th airborne assault company of the 3rd airborne assault battalion.
40-year-old Pavlo Alekseev was killed on July 4, 2024, while performing a combat mission in the vicinity of the village of Novomykhailivka in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region. For some time, he was considered missing in action.
Colleagues remembered Pavlo as friendly and communicative; he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was respected and valued as a skilled worker and as a strong-willed person who did not shy away from difficulties and did not bow his head in the face of adversity. He was brave, courageous, and determined.
Pavlo is survived by his son, Vitaliy.
The team at the Fastiv-1 motor car depot deeply mourns the irreparable loss and expresses sincere condolences to his son Vitaliy, family, and loved ones of Pavlo Alekseev. His courage and willingness to defend his homeland at the cost of his own life will forever remain an example for all railway workers.
