Serhiy SANKOV

Serhiy was born in the village of Trudove in the Zaporizhzhia region and lived in the village of Velyka Znam'yanka. From 2014 to 2022, he worked as a machine operator of a RM-80 gravel cleaning machine of the 6th category at the Verkhovtsevskiy Center for Track Work Mechanization.

On November 21, 2022, Serhii was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a senior shooter in the 3rd mountain assault squad.

47-year-old soldier Serhiy Sankov was killed on December 30, 2022, near the village of Bilohorivka in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region during a tank shelling.

Colleagues remember Serhiy as always smiling, sincere, balanced, calm, and judicious. In his free time, he loved to cook exquisite dishes and often surprised his team with them. Serhii was very concerned that his mother and brother remained in the occupied territory and wished for the swift liberation of his homeland.

Serhiy is survived by his mother and brother.
