Viktor KONYUSHENKO
Viktor was born and lived in Poltava. He began his career on the railway in May 2001. Since March 2021, he worked as a leading engineer in the locomotive acceptance department of the Southern Railway.
On April 12, 2022, he was mobilized. He served in the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade as a tank platoon commander in the tank company.
47-year-old Captain Viktor Volodymyrovych Konyushenko was killed on January 11, 2023, near the settlement of Klishchiivka in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region from wounds incompatible with life during a combat encounter with the enemy.
Colleagues knew him as a good specialist and a pleasant person to be around. They recall that Viktor was always cheerful and often sought for advice.
Viktor's family was posthumously awarded the distinction "Defender of Ukraine – Hero of the City of Poltava."
Viktor is survived by his elderly parents, wife, son, and daughter.
