Viktor VIKTOROV
Viktor was born in the village of Topyla in the Tomakivka district of Dnipropetrovsk region, where from a young age he absorbed a love for his homeland and respect for hard work. Choosing a working profession, he successfully graduated from vocational school No. 78 and earned the specialty of an electrical mechanic. His hands always knew how to handle complex machinery, and his bright mind helped him find solutions to any life challenges.
There are people whose presence brings a deep sense of calm and reliability. Viktor Mykolayovych Viktorov was just such a person—a man with a brave heart, a sincere soul, and unwavering loyalty to his principles. His untimely departure to the afterlife became an irreparable, painful loss for his family, friends, colleagues in the railway community, and all of Ukraine, which he selflessly defended until his last breath.
In February 2013, Viktor joined the large family of "Ukrzaliznytsia," becoming an integral part of the Dnipro detachment of the militarized guard. Working as a firefighter on the fire train at the Zaporizhzhia station, he stood guard over the safety of people and infrastructure every day. Colleagues remember him not just as a highly skilled and disciplined professional, but primarily as an extraordinarily kind, balanced, and determined person. Viktor was that reliable shoulder you could lean on without any doubt: if he took on a task—it was done impeccably; if someone needed help—he was the first to arrive.
"He protected peaceful trains on the ground, and now he holds the sky above us. His courage is recorded in the chronicle of our freedom, and his kindness remains in the memory of everyone who had the honor of knowing him personally."
When in September 2024, the Motherland called its sons to defend, Viktor Mykolayovych did not hesitate. He consciously and bravely joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during mobilization, taking on the heaviest duty—to safeguard our people's right to life, freedom, and a peaceful future on their native land.
The last months were filled with anxious anticipation for all who loved him. After losing contact, Viktor was considered missing in action, and until the last second, hope for a miracle lived in the hearts of his loved ones and comrades. Unfortunately, the official confirmation brought indescribable pain. On January 27, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Dachne in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region, Viktor Mykolayovych was killed, remaining true to his Oath and the Ukrainian people until the end.
The greatest pride, support, and universe for Viktor was always his family. In unspeakable grief, his loving wife Tetiana and two dear daughters—Daria and Margarita—are left without their caring husband and father. His love will continue in their hearts, watching over them from the heights of eternity.
The team of the "Dnipro Detachment of the Militarized Guard" of the "Corporate Security Service" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows their heads in deep sorrow and expresses their sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and comrades of our Hero.
The light and eternal memory of Viktor Mykolayovych Viktorov will live on in our hearts. Heroes never die!
