Vitaliy BERNADIY
Vitaliy Bernadii was born in the village of Yurkyvka in the Vinnytsia region. Before the war, he worked for 4.5 years at Ukrzaliznytsia as a contact network electrician of the 4th category in the Zhmerinka electrical supply division.
On February 19, 2024, he was mobilized. He served as a sapper in the 2nd section of the engineering-sapper platoon.
Colleagues recall that upon receiving the call-up notice, Vitaliy immediately went to the military enlistment office. He had previous combat experience and was in the operational reserve. In the military unit, his loyalty to duty and oath, integrity, patriotism, organization, observance, and decisiveness were quickly recognized. He was sent for training abroad. Upon returning, he took up the defense of the Ukrainian people at a combat position near Krasnohorivka, where he fought his last battle.
Junior Sergeant Vitaliy Bernadii was killed in action for Ukraine on June 30, 2024, near Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region. He was 33 years old.
Colleagues remembered Vitaliy as a kind, honest, fair, and strong-spirited person. He was respected in the team, responsible, disciplined, and a skilled worker, actively engaged in life.
Vitaliy is survived by his wife, two minor children, and his mother.
The team of the Zhmerinka electrical supply division deeply mourns this irreparable loss and extends heartfelt condolences to Vitaliy's wife, children, mother, family, and loved ones. We will forever cherish the memory of our colleague as a brave and principled Defender who gave his life for the bright future of Ukrainian children.
