Vitaliy DENYSYUK
Vitaliy was born on June 18, 1971, in the village of Vesele, Mezhivskyi District, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. After receiving an education at a local vocational school, he chose the path of a railway worker. On December 6, 2007, he began working at the Pokrovsk Railway Depot, dedicating the next 16 years of his life to it as a high-level, 5th-grade electric welder.
On May 8, 2022, Vitaliy was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, trading his welding equipment for a weapon to defend the future of his country.
Vitaliy Vasylovych Denysiuk, an electric welder at the Pokrovsk Railway Depot, died on June 30, 2024, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The life of the Defender was cut short during combat near the village of Myrne in the Polohivskyi District of Zaporizhzhia Oblast due to severe injuries. He was 53 years old.
Colleagues remember Vitaliy as an exceptionally caring, kind, and attentive person who was always concerned about the problems of those around him. He was genuinely respected in the team for his professionalism and humanity. For his family, he was a reliable support—a loving husband and a caring father who, together with his wife, raised two daughters, providing them with a worthy path in life.
Vitaliy is survived by his wife and two daughters.
The team at the Pokrovsk Railway Depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows their heads in profound sorrow and deep respect for Vitaliy Denysiuk. Our colleague, who was a true master of his craft and a faithful son of Ukraine, heroically fell while defending each of us. His kindness, work contributions, and ultimate sacrifice for freedom will forever remain in the memory of the railway family. Eternal memory and honor to our Hero!
