Yevheniy PLUHATYRIOV
Yevhen was born in the city of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Since April 2013, he worked as a track installer for the Nikopol track distance.
Yevhen always stood out for his patriotic civic stance. He was involved in the military-patriotic club "Cossack Descent," where he met his future wife, Snezana. He purposefully dreamed of becoming a paratrooper. After his mandatory service, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) and received combat awards.
In September 2019, Yevhen re-signed his contract and continued his service in the Marine Corps Brigade. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, his unit defended Ukraine in the hottest areas.
35-year-old Chief Sergeant Yevhen Pluhatyriov died on December 29, 2022, as a result of an explosive injury near the village of Vodyane in the Donetsk region.
Yevhen is survived by his wife Snezana Volodymyrivna, their five-year-old son Bohdan, and their daughter Ulyana, who turned one after her father's death.
The team at the Nikopol track distance of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns with indescribable sorrow and pride for their colleague. His courage and the immense loss for his family, especially for son Bohdan and daughter Ulyana, born after his death, is a constant pain and our eternal debt of memory. Glory to the Hero!
