Anatoliy BORTNYK

Anatoliy was born in the village of Severynivka in the Vinnytsia region. He dedicated 5 years of his life to the railway, working as a fourth-class shooter in the military security team of the Zhmerinka Koziatyn military security detachment.

Colleagues remember him as a disciplined and responsible worker with an exceptionally high level of accountability, who identified commercial discrepancies on numerous occasions. He quickly earned the respect of his peers. During vacations, he devoted all his time to family and meetings with friends from the railway.

On the second day of the full-scale invasion, February 25, 2022, Anatoliy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in an assault brigade and engaged in combat several times.

Anatoliy Bortnyk was killed on February 14, 2023, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine while carrying out a combat mission in the Donetsk region.

Anatoliy is survived by his parents, wife, and daughter.
