Andrii BULDENKO

Andrii was born in the village of Kuchynivka in the Chernihiv region. In 2016, he joined the railway family, becoming a repairman for rolling stock, and from 2018, he served as an assistant locomotive driver at the "Snovsk Locomotive Depot" of the regional branch "South-Western Railway."

During the full-scale invasion, on November 2, 2022, Andrii enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the border troops, where he was an example of bravery and dedication for his comrades. He valiantly defended his homeland and gave a worthy resistance to the occupiers. Even during short leaves, he found time to meet with his railway friends, asking about work and sharing frontline stories.

Andrii was killed on December 29, 2024, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the Kupiansk direction.

Colleagues remember him as a skilled professional worker and a strong-willed person who did not shy away from difficulties and did not bow his head in the face of adversity. He was fair, brave, and determined.

He was awarded the Presidential Award of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine" for personal courage and selfless actions displayed in the defense of state sovereignty, and he was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.

Andrii is survived by his wife and daughters Veronika and Myroslava.
