Andriy Mustafin

Andriy was born in Kryvyi Rih. In 2016, he started working as a rigger at the Baturyn Wagon Depot. Colleagues remember him as sociable, friendly, and always ready to lend a helping hand. He quickly gained qualifications as a locksmith, as he willingly assisted in the repair of freight cars.

On July 27, 2022, Andriy was mobilized. He served in the fire support unit of the 1st assault platoon of the assault company. At the end of October, machine gunner Mustafa received serious injuries during a heavy mortar shelling near Bakhmut. The doctors were unable to save him.

42-year-old soldier Andriy Mustafin passed away on November 2, 2022, at the Mechnikov Hospital in Dnipro due to severe injuries sustained near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.

Andriy is survived by his wife, two adult daughters, and a seven-year-old son, Matviyko.

The team at the Baturyn Wagon Depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its head in profound sorrow in memory of their colleague. His courage, selflessness, and the immense loss for his wife and three children, especially seven-year-old Matviyko, will forever be a source of pain in our hearts.
