Andriy Parkhomenko
Andriy Parkhomenko worked as a third-class shooter in the rapid response group of the shooting team at the Poltava-Southern station of the "Poltava Detachment of the Militarized Guard" of the regional branch "Southern Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia".
He has 18 years of experience in the railway industry.
On February 25, 2020, he signed a contract and rejoined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Andriy was born in Poltava. In 2015, he graduated from the Poltava National Technical University named after Yuri Kondratyuk. He joined the militarized guard in 2003 as a cargo guard shooter at the Poltava-Southern station, where he worked until his release for military service.
Parkhomenko A. O. served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the ATO zone from July 22, 2015. He held the status of a combatant.
Colleagues remember Andriy Oleksandrovych as an exceptionally positive and kind person, always ready to support others with advice or kind words. He always found a way out of any difficult situation. He had many friends and was the life of the party.
Andriy will remain in our hearts as a smiling, honest, decent, responsible, and great patriot of Ukraine.
For his diligent approach to fulfilling his official duties, Parkhomenko A. O. was repeatedly awarded by the management. In 2010, he received a personal watch from the General Director of Ukrzaliznytsia, in 2014 — a letter of appreciation from the Southern Railway, and in 2019 — an honorary certificate from the Southern Railway.
He was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky.
The team of the "Poltava Detachment of the Militarized Guard" of the joint-stock company "Ukrainian Railways" bows its head in deep sorrow. Eternal memory and glory to the Ukrainian warrior who defended the Motherland and each of us! We will always remember our devoted colleague.
