Artem KIKOSH
Artem was born in the city of Polohy in the Zaporizhzhia region. He worked as a trackman in the Polohy railway distance. Colleagues remember him as a young, energetic, and always positively-minded guy.
In January 2021, Artem signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, choosing the Air Assault Troops. With the onset of the full-scale war, his brigade steadfastly defended the country at the hottest frontlines. After being wounded, he immediately returned to his comrades. Artem was killed while performing a combat mission in the Kramatorsk direction.
Junior Sergeant Artem Kikosh died on October 8, 2022, near the village of Tetyanivka in the Donetsk region. He was to turn 30 in December.
He proudly shared stories about his service with his family.
Artem is survived by his five-year-old son, Oleksii.
The team at the Polohy railway distance of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors their young colleague with great respect and sorrow. The trackman, who was energetic and positive at work, served as a contract paratrooper and, despite his injuries, returned to the front lines to defend his homeland. His courage and selflessness are an everlasting example of heroism, and his memory will live on for the sake of his son. Eternal Glory to the Hero!
