Bohdan BUBNOV

Bogdan Mykolaiovych was born on July 26, 1989. His life was closely tied to his native Donetsk region and the railway, to which he dedicated nearly a decade of honest and selfless work.

In 2008, he graduated from Sloviansk Mechanical College, laying a solid foundation for his future profession.

In November 2016, he began his career on the railway as a repair locksmith at the Sloviansk wagon depot.

In May 2024, during the most challenging times for the country, he made the decision to defend his native infrastructure and joined the team of the militarized guard at the Sloviansk station.

Even amid the full-scale war, Bogdan did not leave his city or his job. On June 16, 2026, during a treacherous enemy shelling of Sloviansk, his life was tragically cut short at his workplace. He died on duty, fulfilling his professional and civic duty.

Bogdan was an example of true courage, yet he was also an incredibly warm person. Colleagues and loved ones remember him with special respect:

A man of his word, someone you could always rely on in the most difficult moments.

His diligence, responsibility, and calm authority inspired those who worked alongside him.

Bogdan won the hearts of his colleagues with his sincerity, kindness, decency, and boundless humanity.

The highest value in Bogdan's life was his family. For his wife Tetiana, he was a beloved husband, a pillar of support, and a loyal friend, while for his son Nazar, he was the best father, an example of honor, dignity, and true manhood. This loss is an unimaginably heavy blow for the family.

The team of "Ukrzaliznytsia," railway colleagues, and the entire community bow their heads in deep sorrow. We share this unspeakable pain with Bogdan's family.

He left this life too soon but left behind a pure, bright memory and a name that will forever be etched in the history of our country's resilience.
