Bohdan CHORNOVOL

Senior Sergeant Bohdan Volodymyrovych Chornovol was born on January 5, 1981, in Novoukrainka, Kirovohrad Oblast.

Professional path in the railway: Since 2008, he worked as a lathe operator in the wheel-roller section of the "Pomichna Repair Depot" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," dedicating 14 years to the railway. Colleagues knew him as a responsible and competent worker who skillfully organized the work.

Military path:

Since 2015, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under contract.

On May 18, 2019, he received the military rank of "Senior Sergeant" and became a squad commander.

Bohdan's life was tragically cut short on March 25, 2022, in Kharkiv. On March 24, 2022, while performing a combat mission to defend the Ukrainian state, he sustained blast injuries and was taken to the hospital, but the injuries were incompatible with life.

Personal qualities: Bohdan was a patriot of his country. He had a strong and decisive character, which earned him authority and respect among colleagues and comrades.

Awards (partly posthumous):

Medal "For Military Service to Ukraine" (posthumously, March 21, 2023).

Commendation "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation."

Bohdan is survived by his wife, daughter, and son.
