Bohdan KHARCHENKO
Born on March 5, 1998, in the city of Lozova, Kharkiv region, Bohdan was described by his mother as a calm, kind, and hardworking boy from childhood. He graduated from the local school, obtained a secondary education, and always had a passion for technology, enjoying working with his hands. After his studies, he dedicated his life to the railway, working as a 4th-grade operator of a flaw detection trolley in the production unit "Lozivska Distance of Track" of the regional branch "Southern Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He performed his duties responsibly, believing that people's safety depended on his work.
His colleagues respected him for his diligence and kindness. Although he had no children, his greatest treasure was his mother, whom he loved dearly and supported in everything. For her, he was a pillar, a source of pride, and the meaning of life.
On July 2, 2021, Bohdan enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract. He served as a soldier in the engineering structures unit. After an airstrike on the military unit in the city of Akhtyrka, Bohdan was considered missing for a long time.
However, it later became known that during that airstrike on the military unit in Akhtyrka on February 26, 2022, Bohdan was killed.
We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Bohdan is survived by his mother.
The team at Lozivska Distance of Track mourns deeply for this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero.
