Bronisław Żhmuckiy
Bronislav was born in the village of Makharyntsi in the Vinnytsia region and lived in the city of Hnivan. He graduated from a vocational school, training as a gas and electric welder. In 2018, he began working at the Hnivan Special Reinforced Concrete Plant.
After two years, Bronislav enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under contract. He served as a soldier and gunner in a mechanized platoon and company. At work, he was remembered as a diligent employee, cheerful and optimistic, a person of high moral character who was always ready to help others.
56-year-old Bronislav Zhmutskiy was killed on July 15, 2022, in the town of Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk region, as a result of a mortar shelling.
The village head, Natalia Vasyliuk, noted that Bronislav left a good memory in his native village of Makharyntsi, where he was honored on his final journey with a living corridor of sunflowers—a symbol of love for the Motherland.
Bronislav was an exemplary family man. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, and sister.
The team at the Hnivan Special Reinforced Concrete Plant of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague. This diligent worker, who exemplified high moral qualities, became a contract soldier in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and heroically fell. His dedication, love for his family, and selflessness in defending Ukraine will remain an everlasting flame of memory. Eternal glory to the Hero who gave his life for our peace!
