Denys NOVAKOVSKYI
Denys was born in Zhytomyr. In 2022, he joined the railway family, working as a 4th category lumberjack in the Zhmerynka protective afforestation unit. He dreamed of a good, happy life and a large family, but his plans were shattered by the war.
Colleagues remember him as a dedicated, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor. His mentor, Vasyl Slobodian, notes that Denys quickly earned the respect of all employees, managing to complete his tasks and assist his colleagues.
In the second year of the full-scale invasion, on August 23, 2023, Denys joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Soldier Denys, a senior shooter-operator, was killed on October 13, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia direction, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Denys is survived by his wife, daughter, son, sister, and brother.
