Denys YAROSHCHUK
Denys Vitaliyovych Yaroschuk was born on July 16, 1994, in the village of Hlybochok, Kotovskyi District, Odesa Oblast. He studied at the local school and continued his education at the Kotovsk Professional Lyceum, where he obtained a qualification as a tractor driver.
From July 29, 2013, he worked in the production unit of the railway service "Podilsk Railway Distance" of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" as a trackman, and from 2017, he served as an assistant driver of a non-removable railcar.
In 2021, Denys joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He encountered the full-scale invasion in Kherson Oblast, then defended his homeland in the Mykolaiv direction, and in the last months, he fought in Donetsk Oblast. Throughout his service, he demonstrated courage, bravery, and resilience. Denys stood on the battlefield until his last breath, guarding the independence of our state and remaining faithful to his military oath. He fought his final battle in the Pokrovsk direction.
For his service and bravery, he was awarded:
the "Golden Cross" of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the "For Service and Valor" of the III degree, the "Eastern Front," the "Unbreakable Heroes of the Russo-Ukrainian War," and the "For Understanding";
the badge of the "11th Battalion Kyiv Rus";
the medal "For Courage."
Soldier Denys Vitaliyovych Yaroschuk was killed on January 7, 2025, in the Pokrovsk direction.
According to his colleagues, Denys embodied the qualities of a true man: kindness, sincerity, justice, and devotion. He always cared for the well-being of his loved ones and was a strong support for them.
He is survived by his parents, wife, and sister.
The team of the Podilsk Railway Distance deeply mourns this irreparable loss and expresses sincere condolences to the family, wife, and loved ones of Denys Vitaliyovych Yaroschuk. We will remember him as a devoted colleague, a true man, and an unyielding Defender of his country, who fell while defending our independence. Eternal memory to the Hero.
