Dmytro KHOMENKO

Dmytro was born in the city of Apostolove in the Dnipropetrovsk region and lived in Kryvyi Rih. Since May 2013, he worked as a bricklayer of the 4th category in the capital repair section of Apostolove station.

Dmytro was a warrior with extensive experience and a principled approach to defending Ukraine's sovereignty. His combat journey began in May 2015 with the first mobilization. In 2017, he signed his first contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and in January 2021, he signed a second one. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Junior Sergeant Khomenko served as a gunner in the reconnaissance platoon of the 1st Motorized Infantry Battalion. In 2022, he was awarded the medal "For Special Service."

35-year-old Junior Sergeant Dmytro Khomenko, a gunner in the reconnaissance platoon, was killed on October 30, 2023, near the village of Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

Dmytro is survived by his elderly parents, a wife, and a young daughter, Maria.

The team of the capital repair section of Apostolove station at JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its head in deep sorrow before Dmytro Khomenko. His courage, steadfast dedication to the Oath, and unyielding struggle will forever serve as a guide to honor. Eternal memory to the Warrior!
