Dmytro KONDRATOVYCH

Dmytro lived in Kovel, Volyn. Before joining the railway, he worked as a lathe operator and a boiler operator. At the railway, he served as a trackman in the Kovel track maintenance unit. He was always characterized as a hardworking and responsible specialist, and everyone who knew Dmytro noted his extraordinary kindness and empathy.

In the winter of 2023, Dmytro was mobilized into the military. He served as a rifleman and assistant grenade launcher in the 2nd mechanized squad.

Soldier Dmytro Kondratovych, with the call sign "Kondrat," was killed on July 4, 2023, during a battle near the village of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia. The combat vehicle he was in struck a hostile mine.

The fallen warrior was buried at the Alley of Heroes in the Kovel city cemetery. For his bravery, Dmytro was posthumously awarded the military unit's distinction – the Order of the Fallen Warrior, and he was granted the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Kovel."

The defender is survived by his mother and brother.
